INSIGHT_E RESEARCH ON ENERGY POVERTY IN THE EU PRESENTED AT CONFERENCE HELD AT SCIENCES PO IN PARIS
A conference was held at Sciences Po on October 15/16th titled Energy and Justice in the EU and in Asia.
The focus of this conference was on exploring how issues of energy vulnerability and poverty are understood in different country and regional contexts. To help provide the EU context, the INSIGHT_E policy report Energy poverty and vulnerable consumers in the energy sector across the EU: analysis of policies and measures, was presented by Steve Pye.On Thursday, 15th & Friday, 16th, the INSIGHT_E consortium will hold its 4th General Assembly in Brussels
Decarbonising the EU Energy System - Beyond Carbon Pricing
INSIGHT_E has released a Hot Energy Topic on Decarbonising the EU Energy System.
This paper aims at establishing a picture of the EU targets and instruments, such as carbon pricing, to decarbonize the EU energy system. This paper highlights what has been achieved so far and makes an assessment of the potential other policy instruments which could be applies in the future.Self-consumption of electricity from renewable sources
INSIGHT_E has released a Rapid Response Energy Brief on Self-consumption of electricity from renewable sources.
This paper aims at showing that a transition is expected from schemes supporting the use of renewable energy sources (RES) for electricity production towards market integration of RES, and that self-consumption of RES can play its part.
