- LAUNCH OF AN ENERGY POVERTY TASK FORCEThe European Policy Centre has coordinated the launch of an Energy Poverty Task Force to assess the role of the EU in tackling energy poverty. The Task Force was launched at an event on January 26, 2016 in Brussels, where Audrey Dobbins (University of Stuttgart) presented the results of the INSIGHT_E study on Energy Poverty and Vulnerable Consumers in the EU: analysis of policies and measures.Information Link

The European Commission reconvened the Vulnerable Consumers Working Group in EU energy markets with a meeting held in Brussels on 3rd June, 2015.

This follows conclusions from the 7th Citizen’s Energy Forum held in London in March of this year. Claire Baffert, from KIC InnoEnergy, will present the main findings of the INSIGHT_E Policy report no.2 on Energy poverty accross Europe, to be published in Summer 2015, in the framework of a seminar organised by the French National School of Administration (ENA) . The seminar deals with Towards a European energy strategy? What efforts will be required and at what cost for businesses and society?" and includes a special session dedicated to Fuel poverty and Energy Efficiency.
